Through funding from the US EPA, our team collaborated with researchers at Duke University, UMD School of Architecture, and Virginia Tech to assess flood risks associated with natech disasters in environmental justice communities in the Carolinas (Duplin County, NC and North Charleston, SC).  Project deliverables include the development of two mapping tools (NC EJSCREEN and SC EJSCREEN) and a toolkit to help the communities increase their preparedness and resilience to natech disasters.
